eSERIE A TIM 2024 Opening
After the 2023 opening, the agency and the client came back to ask me something with a differente style for the 2024 edition of the eSerieA TIM esport tournament.
This is the official competition that replicates the Serie A league, the soccer major league in Italy.
It's based on Electronic Art Sports FC 24 videogame and Sony Playstation 5.

One of the concepts requested in the brief was to enhance the inclusion of all the Italian teams in the tournament: we inserted famous buildings and monuments from the various areas of the country, from north to south, into the urban landscapes.
Storyboard
The project in the early steps consider a DJ-boy and Yoga-girl, but, after the storyboard realization, the roles have been switched to take distance from obvious clichés.
Process
I used a lot of tools in my pipeline:
after sketches and the final illustrations were made in Photoshop, I drew characters with their micro expressions and loop animations on the cloths in Animate CC.
I imported both assets into After Effects with Timelord plugin and I used a set of other plugins to composite, animate and enhance the final cuts:

I used EZ3D script from Motion.by.Nick to set the 3D layers of this scene.
